Questions and answers
Answered from what the shop has published.
When do I pay?
After the shop has inspected your pair and you have agreed to the price. Do not send payment details with the box: the shop calls when your package arrives and again when the pair is ready to ship back. It takes Visa, MasterCard, Discover, PayPal and checks.
What if I do not accept the estimate?
Then no work is done and the pair is returned to you at your expense.
Can I get a price before I ship?
The shop does not quote by phone, because a pair has to be seen first. The price lists give guide prices per pair, and the form above shows the ones for your type of footwear. If you are not sure a pair can be repaired at all, e-mail a photo first.
Where can I ship from, and which carrier should I use?
The shop takes mail-in work from the US and Canada. Use USPS, UPS or FedEx, whichever you prefer: you pay shipping to the shop. The repaired pair comes back by USPS unless you ask for another carrier.
Cost of return shipping: Shop to confirm
Do I need a printer or the paper order form?
No. Fill in the form on this page. A handwritten note in the box with your name, phone number with area code, address and e-mail works too.
Does the shop work on exotic skins and my brand?
Yes. It repairs more than 150 brands (see the list) and works on lizard, alligator, ostrich and similar skins. On the cowboy boot price list, exotic skins add $10 to a resole (list updated May 2025).
Is there anything the shop does not repair?
The shop no longer repairs purses or luggage, or damage from dog and other animal bites.
How long does a repair take?
The shop tells you with the estimate. Shop to confirm
The shop says orders are heavy and it can take only a few rush jobs, so no number of days is promised here until the shop confirms one.
